Rachida Dati has put a potential sale of the Parc des Princes to PSG in her Paris manifesto, aiming to keep the club at the stadium.

L'Équipe reports that she unveiled her programme on Tuesday, ahead of the municipal elections on 15 and 22 March. The LR candidate, who is also culture minister, wants PSG to continue playing at their home, even if the city must sell it, a step outgoing mayor Anne Hidalgo has always rejected.

Dati says she would negotiate a sale in return for a PSG-branded sports and cultural village around the ground, developed with local associations, to keep the club in Paris and deliver benefits for residents.

The prospect of a sale has fuelled tensions in recent years between PSG president Nasser al-Khelaïfi and the outgoing city hall. Anne Hidalgo is no longer welcome at matches involving the European champions, while Dati attended last spring’s Champions League final, which PSG won 5-0 against Inter Milan on 31 May 2025.

Former sports deputy Emmanuel Grégoire, now the PS candidate to succeed Hidalgo, has also shifted stance, saying a sale could be considered under conditions.
