The post-split Scottish Premiership fixtures have been announced, with Rangers travelling to Falkirk on the final day, whilst Celtic will host Hearts as the league title hangs in the balance.

For the first time in years, three sides are still very much in the title fight heading into the final six fixtures of the season. After this weekend’s games, the league will split into a championship group and a relegation group. The championship group will consist of Hearts, Rangers, Celtic, Motherwell, Hibernian and Falkirk, whilst the relegation group will see Livingston, Kilmarnock, St.Mirren, Aberdeen, Dundee FC and Dundee United battle it out for their spot in the top division.

This weekend, Rangers will visit Falkirk, Celtic will take on St.Mirren, and Hearts will host fourth placed Motherwell. Following that, the first games of the split will take place on the weekend of April 25th. Celtic will play Falkirk at home on the Saturday, whilst Rangers host Motherwell on the Sunday, and Hearts take on Hibernian in the Edinburgh Derby at 4:30pm (UK time) on Sunday afternoon.

The second post-split fixtures will see Celtic travel to Hibernian, before Hearts host Rangers in a massive clash at Tynecastle on Monday evening. Following that, Rangers will have a trip to Celtic Park to contend with; it’s been a happy hunting ground for them lately, though, having won on their last two visits. Hearts will visit Motherwell the day prior to the Old Firm clash.

Fourth on the list for these three clubs is a weekend where none of them will play each other, it will be Hearts vs Falkirk, Motherwell vs Celtic and Rangers vs Hibernian. Setting up what could be one of the most spectacular final days in Europe this season, where Celtic will host Hearts in a potential “winner takes all” match, whilst Rangers will play away at Falkirk, hoping to win their 56th Scottish Premiership title, and a first since 2021.

There are bound to be plenty of twists and turns yet, with no team having ever won all five of their post-split fixtures in Scottish Premiership history.
