Rangers second best yet again despite refereeing controversy

Artikelbild:Rangers second best yet again despite refereeing controversy

The problem Ibrox Noise has with the comments about Austin Trusty and the second yellow for Ralston is not that either is wrong, it’s just a deflection. Rangers fell short v Celtic.

We are Rangers fans and we want our side to win, but Rangers were second-best all over the park at Hampden.

Decisions

And whining about decisions is not going to help at all.

Celtic got 6 bookings to Rangers’ 3. They had a borderline legit goal ruled out, and Rangers’ penalty was arguably soft. The red for Aasgaard was correct.

So we’re not quite buying into the referee bias conspiracy theories.

Trusty

We feel focusing on the lack of a red to Trusty (it was a red, no question) deflects from how poor Rangers actually are and how that lot unfortunately deserved to win.

And yes, Ralston got away with a red as well, but 11 v 11 in the first half and Celtic were miles better. How they didn’t put us away completely only they know, along with Jack Butland’s heroics.

Rangers did fight back in the second, and showed a wee bit of guts which have been missing too much this year, but the stats showed their own story.

9IAR

Back in the 9IAR days Walter’s Rangers didn’t complain about the bad refereeing, it was the so-called ‘paranoid tim’ who did. Celtic whined all the time they didn’t get the rub of the green, and they probably didn’t back then.

Rangers fans are now complaining the same way.

We also don’t relieve Danny Rohl of his part either. Starting with the absolutely horrendous Chermiti, removing Danilo, putting Rothwell on, and persisting with the Souttar Djiga duo which doesn’t work. We knew that under Martin but that’s four matches this manager has stuck by those two at the back.

Rohl

Rohl’s record reads two horrendous defeats, and two bread and butter wins v poor sides. It’s exactly the same as every record of every Rangers manager. Winning no more than 50% and often less.

Do Rangers look better under Rohl? Maybe in a couple of SPL matches there was some small improvement, but that emigrated v Celtic. The team was a mess. Not until down to 10 men was there a bit of fight but that’s the least to expect.

No, as usual Rangers fall short when it counts against Celtic and we’re completely used to it these days.

Nick Walsh isn’t the best ref, but he didn’t score Celtic’s goals or make a backside of Rangers’ defending. Rangers fell short v Celtic

That was just football.
