Ranieri introduces Gian Piero Gasperini: “He tells things to your face.” | OneFootball

Claudio Ranieri attended today’s introductory press conference of Gian Piero Gasperini.

The senior advisor accompanied the newly appointed Roma head coach in his first press conference at the Fulvio Bernardini center at Trigoria.

Ranieri introduced Gasperini to the media.

“For the first time you are seeing two coaches in a press conference. I’m still officially Roma’s coach until 30 June,” Ranieri said to the media.

“The Friedkins chose Gasperini for what he has done in the past nine years at Atalanta,” he continued. “He knows the difficulties we will face in these next two upcoming transfer windows.”

“Gasperini is a coach who can change the physiognomy of an athlete and can create excellent players. You called me a liar, that’s why I stepped aside because staying would have been a waste of time. Let’s hope that appointing him will bear fruit.”
