With another mid-week set of fixtures scheduled for today, the MLS is loosening the Apple TV+ chokehold and airing two of the thirteen matches on FS1 this evening.
8:00pm ET @ Lower.com Field, Columbus, Ohio. Also Streaming on Apple+This should be a cracker. Nashville just leapfrogged Columbus after last weekend’s game, and the Crew should be fired up to take back fourth in the East. Nashville are 4W, 2D, 1L in their past seven. Sam Surridge went on a scoring tear last week against Toronto, slotting a brace.
10:15pm ET @ PayPal Park, San Jose, California. Also Streaming on Apple+Viva El Clásico! It’s a storied MLS rivalry harkening back to the early days of the league. This year it takes on a greater significance, largely due to the home team’s struggles. Winless in 15 straight matches, this game should be entertaining even if it’s to see just how low LA Galaxy can sink. Logic dictates that their slide must end sometime, but will it be tonight? Galaxy continue to struggle on all ends of the pitch, particularly in defense where they’ve conceded a whopping 35 goals. That’s 2.3 per game. Meanwhile, the Quakes are certainly supplying fireworks up front. They have a league high goals per game (2.1) and total shots taken (15.9).
LAFC, St. Louis CITY, Chicago Fire and Sporting Kansas City all have byes. The rest of the fixtures are below, all streaming on Apple TV+ with the MLS Season Pass.
