Rayo Vallecano & Osasuna make contact over deal for Girona star | OneFootball

A pair of La Liga clubs have touched base with those in the boardroom at Girona, to gather information on the situation of Joel Roca.

This comes amid mounting interest in the signature of the young attacker.

Roca is for his part fresh off something of a breakout campaign on the books of Girona, giving rise to appearances in 32 of the Catalans’ 38 league fixtures.

Across these outings, the 21-year-old notched three goals and an assist from his berth on the left flank. And as alluded to above, along the way, Roca is understood to have secured for himself a whole host of admirers.

As per a report from transfer insider Matteo Moretto, following Girona’s surprise relegation back to the 2nd tier of Spanish football:

‘Rayo (Vallecano) and Osasuna have inquired about the situation of Joel Roca.’

The widespread expectation is that, by the end of the summer, the talented Spaniard will be back plying his trade in La Liga.
