Real Madrid are likely to undergo a squad overhaul this summer, with new manager Jose Mourinho likely to arrive with his own plans for how he wants his team to look in the upcoming season.

One player whose future at the club has been under discussion is Brahim Diaz. However, according to AS, despite interest from clubs such as Juventus, there is growing confidence that Brahim will continue at the Santiago Bernabeu next season.

Both Madrid and the Moroccan attacker share the same vision, and Brahim wants to be part of the long-term project.

However, it has been mentioned earlier that should a significant sale help Mourinho sign a new marquee defender, he would not mind parting ways with Brahim.

Juventus are among the clubs monitoring the situation. The Italian giants would welcome the opportunity to bring Brahim back to Serie A following his successful spell with AC Milan.

Real Madrid already have their answer

The strongest calling card that Real Madrid have is Brahim’s contractual situation.

The Moroccan’s renewal has already been agreed until at least 2030, and should he put pen to paper on a new deal, that would effectively shut down all talk surrounding an exit.

Brahim finished last season strongly and proved his value once again whenever opportunities arrived.

His versatility, ability to operate between the lines and willingness to accept different tactical roles have made him a valuable option within the squad.

World Cup now takes priority

Brahim is now away on international duty with Morocco and is expected to be one of the important players for his nation at the World Cup.

He is unlikely to make any decisions on his future, especially during the tournament, as it would run the risk of distracting him from the main focus.

Brahim has never really been an undisputed starter for Madrid during his time here but has always found a way to stay relevant.

His performances have always been at an acceptable level whenever he has been given an opportunity. Interest from clubs such as Juventus is understandable.

For now, it looks crystal clear that both Brahim Diaz and Real Madrid want to continue together. That said, in football, nothing is certain.

Whatever happens with Brahim, a resolution can be expected only after the World Cup, and it remains to be seen how things pan out.
