Real Madrid agree key contract renewal | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week tied up a contract renewal agreement with a leading member of the club’s midfield ranks.

The player in question? Aurélien Tchouaméni.

Midfielder Tchouaméni has of course seen his name emerge as an altogether prominent one in the headlines in Spain’s capital across the summer to date.

This comes amid the understanding that the Frenchman has been earmarked as a key transfer target on the part of Premier League heavyweights Manchester United.

As alluded to above, however, this week, those in the boardroom at the Bernabéu have moved to make clear their stance on Tchouaméni’s long-term future.

As per a report from journalist Fabrizio Romano, amongst others, the former AS Monaco man and his entourage have reached a definitive accord on the terms of a new Real Madrid contract:

‘Aurélien Tchouaméni to sign new deal at Real Madrid soon, all agreed on contract until June 2031! Man United deal never close due to high salary and Madrid not opening doors to exit.’
