Over the past few months or so, several Bayern Munich players have come into focus as the club gear up for a crucial transitional phase ahead.

The future of Alphonso Davies, Kingsley Coman and Joshua Kimmich have come under the microscope, with Real Madrid even emerging as one of the suitors for Davies.

While one can expect Los Blancos to make a move for Davies next summer, he will not be the only Bayern player the club will be targeting.

Real Madrid attentive to Musiala situation

According to Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid are keeping close tabs on Jamal Musiala and his evolving situation at Bayern Munich.

Earlier in the summer, Musiala was linked with a potential move away from Bavaria, but Bayern were never serious about offloading their star man.

In fact, Bayern Munich are serious about extending the contract of Musiala, whose deal at Allianz Arena will expire in 2026.

Romano adds that Bayern have already presented an offer to Musiala. The two parties have started a conversation, though that is all there is to it for now.

The Bundesliga giants must seal a new deal with Musiala before the end of the season, knowing it will be risky to keep a player like Musiala, with just one year left on the contract.

As Bayern look to agree new terms with Musiala, Real Madrid are waiting in the wings, ready to take advantage of any market opportunity.

The reigning European champions are expected to enter the market for a creative midfielder next summer, with Florian Wirtz emerging as a top target.

Musiala, to that end, could be another lucrative option for Los Blancos. However, the club are likely to face stiff competition from Manchester City, who are also monitoring the situation closely.
