The powers that be at La Liga giants Real Madrid have sent a message the way of the club’s supporters, ahead of their upcoming meeting with Girona.
That’s according to Relevo, who have on Saturday provided an insight into the situation.
The last week has of course seen the subject of officiating return to the forefront of the headlines in Spain’s capital.
As much comes after Carlo Ancelotti’s Real were left feeling altogether hard done by on the part of the officials en route to a 1-1 draw with Osasuna.
Jude Bellingham’s red card proved only the tip of the iceberg, with Los Blancos having seen a series of penalty appeals turned down, too.
Such developments have left a sour taste in the mouths of those behind the scenes at the Santiago Bernabéu, who are now ready to act.
This comes amid confirmation by way of Relevo that:
‘The situation has reached such a point that Real Madrid has asked its own fans to sing “Corruption in the Federation” in the twelfth minute of its next match: this Sunday’s against Girona.’
The reigning La Liga champions had previously been against such chants, but have altered their stance owing to developments on the pitch over recent weeks.
