Two of Spanish football’s biggest clubs are keeping a close eye on the situation of Manchester United star Kobbie Mainoo ahead of the transfer deadline.

That’s according to journalist Mike Keegan of the Daily Mail, who points towards Real and Atlético Madrid as the sides in question.

Youngster Mainoo for his part finds himself in something of a precarious situation at present.

So recently considered the next breakout star at Old Trafford, the England international is now struggling to carve out any playing time whatsoever.

Across Manchester United’s first two outings of the Premier League campaign, Mainoo has not seen a single minute of time on the pitch.

With as much in mind, the gifted midfielder, still just 20, could be farmed out on loan before the upcoming transfer deadline.

And as alluded to above, if the Man United brass ultimately give the green light to as much, Mainoo could well find himself the subject of proposals from La Liga.

As per a report from the aforementioned Mike Keegan:

‘Daily Mail Sport understands that Real Madrid and Atletico are keeping tabs on the England international, who is struggling for game time under Ruben Amorim. Sources have disclosed that a season-long loan move could be of interest to those in the Spanish capital.’
