Real Madrid and Barcelona have been offered the chance to sign Manchester City star Bernardo Silva.
The 31-year-old is set to leave the Manchester club at the end of his contract this summer.
Silva has been integral to City’s recent success under Pep Guardiola.
He has scored 76 goals in 453 senior appearances, helping his side win six Premier League titles and the Champions League.
However, the Portuguese has now decided to end his long association with City.
Spanish outlet AS claims that agent Jorge Mendes has offered him to Real Madrid and Barcelona.
The experienced midfielder believes he still has a place at a high level and wants to remain with a competitive team on the continent.
Madrid reportedly have great appreciation for Silva’s footballing ability, but they are not expected to sign him this summer.
Barcelona are interested in the Portugal international, who is renowned for his versatility, intelligence and work-rate.
Given their financial issues, the Blaugrana could be tempted to sign Silva on a free transfer.
His situation has also sparked interest from Arsenal, but a transfer is unlikely due to the rivalry between the two clubs.
Silva doesn’t want to move to the Saudi Pro League or make an emotional return to his former club Benfica.
