Real Madrid are coming on the back of a difficult season that saw them fail to retain their La Liga and Champions League crowns.

The club, in fact, ended the season without any major trophies, prompting a much-needed rebuild under new leadership.

But even after a disappointing campaign on the pitch, Real Madrid continue to set the standard off it.

Real Madrid breach €6 billion valuation barrier

According to the latest LaLiga Stock Market 2025 report (h/t Diario AS), Los Blancos have become the first Spanish club to surpass a €6 billion valuation, officially reaching €6.17 billion.

While Barcelona may have outperformed on the field this season, Real Madrid remain the benchmark when it comes to business operations and long-term value.

Barcelona, despite a successful campaign that included a domestic treble, are currently valued at €5.56 billion – still trailing their eternal rivals by over €600 million.

Their temporary relocation from Camp Nou has played a part in limiting revenue growth, while Real Madrid have been actively capitalising on the reopening and global marketing of the newly renovated Santiago Bernabeu.

Together, the two giants represent 64% of the total valuation of La Liga’s top flight, but Real Madrid’s continued edge underlines their enduring global appeal.

Even during transitions and trophyless seasons, the club’s stature and brand value remain untouchable.

Real Madrid, though, must turn things around next season as sporting prestige is a key factor that drives their financial success.

The onus, therefore, will be on new manager Xabi Alonso to replenish the Real Madrid squad with fresh faces and once again compete for trophies next season.
