A recent update from The Athletic has shed light on the future of Dani Carvajal, revealing that the veteran defender is still weighing up potential offers from Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United States to see out the final chapter of his career.
Despite those options, the message from both player and club is that there is no rush, and his preference remains staying at Real Madrid.
Carvajal is one of several senior figures at the club whose contract expires at the end of the current season.
As things stand, though, there is still no certainty over whether Real Madrid will offer him a renewal.
That uncertainty has naturally opened the door to interest from abroad, particularly from leagues where experienced players are highly valued both on and off the pitch.
It must be noted that during the Christmas break, speculation intensified when Carvajal travelled to Qatar with his family.
While there, Carvajal was gifted an Al Gharafa shirt and posed with it, a moment that caught attention and fuelled rumours about a possible future move to the Middle East.

Those close to Carvajal acknowledge that he is genuinely considering Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the USA as realistic destinations.
All three options offer a different pace, lifestyle, and sporting context, making them appealing for a player approaching the later stages of his career.
However, they are clear that these possibilities are being explored patiently, without pressure or urgency.
At heart, Carvajal’s desire is to remain in Madrid. His preference is to continue, provided that the club sees him as part of its plans.
From Real Madrid’s side, the approach is similarly measured. It is said that any decision regarding Carvajal’s future will be made by mutual agreement, respecting both his status and his long service.
Importantly, Madrid are not necessarily planning to wait until the end of the season to resolve the situation.
This means if clarity can be reached sooner, the club is open to acting earlier.
