The evaluation from within the Madrid camp is that while the midfielder is improving and he still needs time to regain his sharpness and match rhythm.

But Ancelotti’s trust is hard-earned, and at this point in the season, the manager is unlikely to make major tactical shifts unless absolutely necessary.
