Real Madrid confirm the signing of Bernardo Silva

Real Madrid have announced the signing of Bernardo Silva following the Portuguese playmaker's departure from Manchester City.

Silva first joined City in the summer of 2017 and announced his departure from the club after nine successful seasons in the Premier League. In that time, Silva played 460 appearances for the Citizens, scoring 76 goals and making 75 assists.

The 31-year-old, who is currently with Portugal at the World Cup and could feature against DR Congo later today, had been linked with a potential move to Barcelona but has instead penned a two-year deal at José Mourinho's Madrid.

The Spanish giants are keen to rebuild this summer after a disappointing 2025/26 campaign with Marc Cucurella and Denzel Dumfries also joining the club.
