Real Madrid credited with interest in another Liverpool star | OneFootball

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been credited with an interest in the signature of a 2nd member of the defensive ranks at Liverpool.

This comes amid claims that Los Blancos, amid an ongoing search for reinforcements in central defence, have earmarked Ibrahima Konaté as a potential target.

Stopper Konaté, for his part, has seen his future at Anfield thrown into doubt for some time now.

As much comes with the Frenchman yet to accept the contract renewal offer put to him by the Liverpool brass, ahead of the expiration of his current terms in the summer of 2026.

As per a report from the reliable Paul Joyce of The Times, both Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain, in turn, have been tipped as potential landing spots for Konaté ahead of next season.

Should the former ultimately seek out a deal, Konaté could join current Liverpool teammate Trent Alexander-Arnold in Spain’s capital this summer.
