Real Madrid are monitoring the situation of Bayern Munich star Joshua Kimmich, according to Florian Plettenberg.
The 29-year-old is into the final year of his contract with Die Rekordmeister, and he is angry that a renewal has not been agreed.
He is also unhappy that new sporting chief Max Eberl is trying to give him a figure lower than his current €20 million yearly salary.
Kimmich is open to a move away from the Allianz Arena if the club continues to stall. Several clubs are interested in signing him, including Real Madrid.
Los Blancos could use the German international in midfield, as they miss Toni Kroos. Kimmich would also solve the club’s right-back conundrum.
Dani Carvajal is out for the season, and his best days are behind him. Manager Carlo Ancelotti has played Lucas Vazquez at right-back, but he has been calamitous, prompting the club to look for alternatives.
Kimmich is a world-class operator in both roles and would give Madrid flexibility. He is another option on their shortlist if they fail to sign Liverpool star Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Madrid are trying to seal a deal for the England international star whose contract has not been renewed, although the Reds are doing everything possible to tie him down.
Barcelona are also interested in Kimmich. Head coach Hansi Flick is a massive admirer of the Rottweil-born star, having worked with him during their time at Bayern and with the national team.
The Premier League is also a potential destination. Manchester City need a successor for Kyle Walker and a player to reinforce their midfield.
Liverpool may also turn to him if they lose Alexander-Arnold.
