La Liga giants Real Madrid have on Wednesday at long last tied up a definitive agreement with RB Leipzig, over the signing of Yan Diomandé.
This comes amid confirmation that the Ivorian has been given permission to make the trip to Spain, to undergo a medical and put pen to paper on terms with his new employers.
Winger Diomandé has of course dominated the headlines in Madrid for several weeks now. After word was forthcoming that the brass at the Santiago Bernabéu had set their sights firmly on his services, Real quickly positioned themselves at the front of the queue for the 19-year-old.
Talks, in turn, have been ongoing for some time, over the finer details of a big-money transfer worth well in excess of €100 million.
And as alluded to above, this week, a decisive breakthrough has been made. As per a report from Blancos insider Mario Cortegana of The Athletic, citing Sky Germany:
‘Real Madrid have reached an agreement worth up to €140million with RB Leipzig for the signing of Yan Diomande following lengthy negotiations.’
