Real Madrid handed Franco Mastantuono boost

La Liga giants Real Madrid have this week been afforded some altogether positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation that Franco Mastantuono has not been called up for the U20 World Cup.
Youngster Mastantuono has of course spent the last few weeks establishing himself as an important member of new boss Xabi Alonso’s squad.
Fresh off his summer arrival from River Plate, and despite being just 18 years of age, the versatile midfielder has already been handed starts in three of Real Madrid’s five fixtures in all competitions.
Safe to say, then, that Alonso and his staff will now no doubt be breathing a collective sigh of relief.
Over recent weeks, rumours had spread that Mastantuono was set to be called up to Argentina’s squad for the upcoming U20 World Cup.
Such a development would have seen the starlet miss several weeks of club action.
After the Albiceleste announced their squad for the tournament on Friday, though, Mastantuono was nowhere to be seen:
