According to a recent report from Fichajes, Real Madrid received a €70 million offer from Liverpool for Eduardo Camavinga

However, within the club, the response has been immediate and firm that Camavinga is not for sale.

The offer arrives at a time when the transfer market continues to inflate valuations, especially for young players who are already established at the top level.

The club believe that short-term financial gains should never come at the cost of sporting stability and long-term planning, which was the major reason for rejecting Liverpool.

Plenty of unfulfilled promise

Still only in his early 20s, Camavinga has grown into a vital figure within the squad thanks to his versatility.

Whether deployed in midfield or at left-back when required, Camavinga has repeatedly shown maturity beyond his years and an ability to perform in the biggest matches.

As such, club president Florentino Perez maintains a very clear policy when it comes to players seen as pillars of the future.

Real Madrid simply do not negotiate for those who form part of the club’s core for the next decade.

Camavinga is in that category, and the €70 million bid from Liverpool does nothing to change the roadmap already in place.

Still an important player

Within the club, there is a strong belief that entertaining such offers would weaken the sporting project and send the wrong signal to the dressing room.

Real Madrid are under no financial pressure to sell, nor do they have any sporting reason to part ways with a player who continues to improve season after season.

On the contrary, the expectation is that Camavinga’s influence will only grow as the team evolves.

Liverpool’s interest, meanwhile, is not new. The Premier League side has followed Camavinga’s development for some time and views him as an ideal fit for their midfield.

Despite that admiration, Real Madrid have made sure that both the player’s contract situation and his importance within the squad leave no room for manoeuvre.
