Real Madrid and Barcelona square off tomorrow in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, in the finals of the 2025/26 Spanish Super Cup.

It is a chance for the Merengues to win their first trophy of the Xabi Alonso era and set the tone for the second half of the season.

Leading up to the huge match in Saudi Arabia, Real Madrid have been sweating over the fitness of several players, but have received positive news on multiple fronts over the past 24 hours.

Kylian Mbappe has arrived in Jeddah after missing the semifinal and is ready to play, while Raul Asencio and Rodrygo Goes have also been given the green light.

Antonio Rudiger will be available as well

Now, according to journalist Miguel Angel Diaz of COPE, key defender Antonio Rudiger will also be available for the Super Cup final against Barcelona, in what will come as a huge boost for Real Madrid.

Rudiger came into the Super Cup dealing with knee discomfort and was seen as a doubt for the semifinal against Atletico Madrid.

Despite having some pain, the German international played the game, although he had to be taken off in the second period, casting doubts over his availability for the final.

Rudiger’s discomfort persists and he has been unable to train with the group since the semifinal.

Even today, the veteran centre-back worked indoors, training inside the gym facilities by himself. At the same time, he is continuing to receive treatment on his knee.

Now, it is being suggested that Rudiger will indeed make himself available to play the final against Barcelona, which will come as a big lift for Real Madrid.

After all, the defender’s experience, commitment, leadership, and determination to succeed make him a crucial cog in the team. What now remains to be seen is whether he is deemed fit enough to start the final.
