Real Madrid legend speaks out against José Mourinho return | OneFootball

Real Madrid icon Iker Casillas has revealed his take that bringing José Mourinho back to the club would be a mistake on the part of the Blancos brass.

The name of tactician Mourinho has of course returned to the forefront of the headlines in Spain’s capital over the last week.

This comes amid the widespread understanding that Real Madrid are giving consideration to what would be a surprise reunion with the Portuguese.

Amid a search for a strong presence to get the fractured dressing room at Valdebebas back in order, Mourinho has been singled out as a leading option.

As alluded to above, though, one individual of the opinion that any such appointment would be a mistake is Iker Casillas.

Taking to his official ‘X’ account on Tuesday evening, former shot-stopper Casillas revealed his take that:

‘I have no problem with Mourinho. He seems like a great professional to me. I don’t want him at Real Madrid. I think other coaches would be better equipped to coach at the club of my life. Personal opinion. Nothing more.’
