Last night was one to forget for Real Madrid as they were booted out of the UEFA Champions League by Arsenal following a 1-2 defeat (1-5 on aggregate).
The result is very likely set to bring down the curtains on the stint of manager Carlo Ancelotti at the club, with an exit set to take place after the Copa del Rey final later this month.
Apart from the bitter taste of defeat, Real Madrid were also dealt with a major fitness setback as key superstar Kylian Mbappe was taken off injured during the Arsenal clash.
Now, according to L’Equipe, Mbappe is a doubt to be available for Real Madrid’s Copa del Rey final against Barcelona on April 26.
The French superstar suffered an ankle sprain after landing awkwardly following a jump to avoid a tackle from Arsenal midfielder Declan Rice.

Soon after, Mbappe left the Santiago Bernabeu pitch with fans from the stands whistling at him over the poor performance on the night.
While it was initially suggested that he will be ready to face Barça later this month, the aforementioned report claims that his availability is now in doubt.
Mbappe will undergo tests in the next 24-48 hours to determine the extent of his injury following which a clearer picture of his condition and availability against Barcelona should become clearer.
Real Madrid have already suffered two heavy defeats against the Blaugrana this season and another loss, that too in the Copa del Rey final, will not reflect well on the team.
Mbappe, despite having had a difficult debut campaign in Spain, remains one of the Merengues’ best players and having him available to take on Hansi Flick’s side in Seville on April 26 will be crucial.
