Following the treatment from the fans, Vinicius’ future at the club has once again been dragged into the spotlight, with the 25-year-old relaying an enigmatic message through his Instagram account, changing his profile picture to one of him wearing a Brazil jersey.

Vinicius calm amidst the storm

Now, according to AS, despite the situation, Vinicius remains fully calm and plans to use the mid-season break to recharge and come back stronger.

The attacking megastar believes that his best is yet to come and intends to showcase that in the second half of the season, leading into the FIFA World Cup in North America in the summer.

It must be noted that this was the second instance in a short period where Vinicius has been targeted by Real Madrid supporters, with the forward being whistled at during the loss to Manchester City as well.

On being asked about the whistles at Vinicius on Saturday, Real Madrid manager Xabi Alonso did not defend the forward in his pre-match press conference, and instead simply said: “The public is sovereign.”

Given the reports of tension between the player and the manager, the reaction is only likely to fuel speculations further, even though it seemed that they had buried the hatchet in recent weeks.

Moreover, the Real Madrid squad is also backing the superstar to turn things around amidst this difficult period, with him now having gone 14 games without a goal.

The 2024 Ballon d’Or runner-up, for now, remains calm and focused on recovering his best version for the second half of the season.
