However, according to Diario AS, the operation for his signing has been put on hold by the Merengue club. Their ultimate plan about his signing remains unchanged, but for now, they are looking to get done with some other transfer operations they are engaged in.

The most notable of these operations is that of Yan Diomande’s signing. The Ivorian winger has already signed a five-year contract with Los Blancos, but the Spanish club is yet to iron out a few remaining discrepancies before they can reach an agreement with the Bundesliga side RB Leipzig.

Initially, there was quite a lot of doubt at Real Madrid internally about the Manchester City star’s signing. However, the midfielder has convinced the club with his performances in the World Cup, and the Merengues are willing to enter an operation for him that can reach up to €100 million in transfer fees.

However, for now, they seem to be occupied by their other commitments in the market, and it remains to be seen when they will complete these transfers and return to work on the signing of Rodri Hernandez again.
