Real Madrid sensation Franco Mastantuono agrees season-long loan move to Fiorentina | OneFootball

Real Madrid prodigy Franco Mastantuono is set to join Fiorentina on a season-long loan, as per transfer reporter Fabrizio Romano.

The Argentina international struggled to make an impact in his debut season in Madrid. He is now set to join La Viola to gain more experience in Serie A.

Madrid have not included an option for the loan move to be made permanent, and he will return to the club in June 2027.

Fiorentina win race for highly-rated teenager

La Viola faced Madrid in a pre-season friendly in Klagenfurt last week. The move may have been discussed at the game.

The 18-year-old wanted to return to River Plate. Madrid signed him from there for approximately £38.5 million last summer.

However, Los Blancos want him to gain more experience of European football. The Serie A club could be a decent landing spot for him.

Fiorentina finished 15th in Serie A last season after spending considerable time in the relegation zone.

They scored just 41 goals in the league, a tally they must improve significantly this season.

Mastantuono was unable to show his best form for Madrid last term due to injuries.

The teenager will hope to improve significantly in Italy and will be expected to play an important role as Fiorentina strive to challenge for European qualification.
