The atmosphere around Real Madrid’s Valdebebas has been rattled this week following explosive claims made by Arda Guler’s former mentor.
Serhat Pekmezci, a former scouting chief who played a pivotal role in the youngster’s early development, recently suggested that the Turkish international is being “bullied” by certain teammates and that a specific group within the squad has yet to accept him.
These allegations immediately raised eyebrows within the Real Madrid camp. But Guler has been quick to deny these statements.
In a heartfelt statement, Guler expressed his disappointment regarding the reports and stood firmly by his current teammates.
“I have followed with sadness the recent public statements made by former scouting chief, Mr. Serhat Pekmezci, who played a significant role at the beginning of my career,” Güler stated.

Guler’s statement on Pekmezci claim.
“From my very first day, I have been warmly welcomed by everyone within this club, and I have always regarded this place as a family. I am extremely proud to be a Real Madrid player and wish to serve this badge for many years to come,” he added.
The midfielder went on to praise the collective spirit of the squad, directly contradicting the narrative of a fractured dressing room.
“We have a very strong team, and I am happy and honoured to share the same team with all of my teammates,” he said.
Finally, Guler clarified that there is no friction within the Real Madrid dressing room and urged fans to ignore any reports or claims regarding the same story.
“I kindly ask that no attention be paid to any comments or reports written or spoken on this matter,” he concluded.
Guler’s clarification comes at a time when the Turkish international has been going through a mixed time at Real Madrid.
Although the player started the season strongly under Xabi Alonso, his consistency faded, and as we approach the final phase of the campaign, he is yet to truly establish himself as an untouchable.
