Real Madrid star Vinícius Jr. is facing up to an incoming spell away from the pitch.
As much comes owing to the Brazilian’s actions during tonight’s La Liga meeting between Valencia and Real Madrid.
En route to an eventual 2-1 victory for his side at Mestalla, Vinícius was given his marching orders late on.
This came after the 24-year-old reacted angrily to the efforts of Valencia no.1 Stole Dimitrievski to return him to his feet inside the hosts’ penalty area.
Vinícius responded by directing two hands into the head/neck of the shot-stopper, who did not hesitate in throwing himself to the turf.
Following a VAR check, the explosive wide-man, in turn, was shown a straight red card.
And though the extent is yet to be confirmed, as much, of course, means that Vinícius Jr. is in line for an incoming suspension.
The 24-year-old is likely to receive a minimum of a four-game ban.
