Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 2-1 win over Real Sociedad in La Liga today, making it four victories in a row in the 2025/26 season.

Kylian Mbappe was the star of the show, scoring the opening goal and setting up Arda Guler’s strike just before half-time.

Mbappe’s compatriot, Aurelien Tchouameni, also put in a solid shift, helping Real Madrid keep their lead intact, especially after the team was reduced to ten men following Dean Huijsen’s red card.

It was also a special occasion for Tchouameni as he made his 150th appearance in a Real Madrid shirt. And the midfielder expressed his joy at reaching the milestone in an interview with the club’s official media.

“It’s a dream to play for this club. I enjoy every day with my teammates and the coaching staff. Here’s to more wins, more matches, and more titles,” the Frenchman said.

Regarding the match, the defensive midfielder noted: “Every time we come here to play against Real Sociedad, we know it’s going to be very difficult, but in the end we won.

“It was very tough because we played with one man less for 60 minutes. We showed the team’s commitment, we all fought, and we’re returning to Madrid with three points.”

Hailing the team’s fighting spirit, he added: “We played less with the ball, we defended more. The opponent has quality and tried to score goals. We fought together as a team and we have to continue like this until the end.”

Discussing his own form and evolution since arriving at Real Madrid, Tchouameni remarked: “I have to keep working hard, with confidence, and everything will be fine.

“I’ve won titles with Real Madrid, but I want to win more every season. With the team we have this season, I’m sure we’ll do well.”

The Frenchman then had words of praise for his teammate Mbappe, who walked away with the Player of the Match award.

“This kid is incredible. I know this because I’ve been watching his games for a long time in the French League. He’s playing at an incredible level now,” said Tchouameni.

“Every game we know we have a chance to win with him. He really enjoys playing with us, and we enjoy playing with him.”
