Real Madrid star Kylian Mbappé has late this week provided his take on the favourites to go all the way in the upcoming edition of the Champions League.

The Frenchman’s choice? His current employers.

Real Madrid are of course by some distance the most successful club in the history of European football’s elite club competition.

Los Blancos have triumphed in the European Cup/Champions League on 15 separate occasions.

This is over 50% more than 2nd-placed AC Milan, who currently sit on seven.

In turn, it should not come as a major surprise to learn of Kylian Mbappé considering Xabi Alonso’s side as the favourites to add another continental title to their cabinet in 2026.

Drawn on the frontrunners for the Champions League during an interview with BILD (as cited by Fabrizio Romano) this weekend, the French goalscorer explained:

“I always say Real Madrid. There are many good teams in Europe, we saw it last year with the new format. This year will be even better.”
