La Liga giants Real Madrid will be forced to make do without the services of a leading member of the club’s attacking ranks in their next outing.
This comes amid confirmation that Rodrygo has been ruled out for the weekend.
Real Madrid are primed to return to action on Saturday afternoon, when they play host to Levante in a La Liga clash.
Los Blancos head into the matchup nothing short of desperate to secure a bounce-back result.
Fresh off being put to the sword by arch rivals Barcelona last weekend, the board at the Bernabéu made the call to part ways with head coach Xabi Alonso.
The Spaniard’s successor, Álvaro Arbeloa, though, saw his stint in charge get off to the worst possible start, by way of a Copa del Rey elimination at the hands of 2nd-tier Albacete.
And as alluded to above, in efforts to get things back on track on Saturday, Real Madrid will not be able to call upon one of the club’s most in-form players.
Speaking to the media in his pre-match press conference this afternoon, Álvaro Arbeloa admitted:
“Rodrygo is out of tomorrow’s game. He is recovering from last week’s great effort. We hope to have him back on Tuesday.”
