Real Madrid star sends message to club’s fans after Barcelona defeat | OneFootball

Real Madrid star Raúl Asencio has taken to social media, to send a direct message to the club’s fanbase.

This, of course, comes fresh off an evening to forget for Real Madrid as a whole on Sunday.

After making the trip to Jeddah for a Spanish Super Cup finale showdown with arch rivals Barcelona, Los Blancos were ultimately put to the sword, by an alarming scoreline of five goals to two.

Something of an inquest has since been launched in Spain’s capital, as players, supporters, media personalities and more point the finger of blame for the result in a whole host of directions.

As alluded to above, though, one individual who is instead eager to shift attentions swiftly towards the road ahead comes in the form of Raúl Asencio.

After featuring from the bench against Barcelona, defender Asencio has since taken to his official Instagram account, to write:

‘For the team, for the club and for you fans, we will rise as we always have. Hala Madrid’
