A member of the goalkeeper ranks at La Liga giants Real Madrid has made his way into the sights of AC Milan with a view to the 2026/27 campaign.

The player in question? Andriy Lunin.

Shot-stopper Lunin is for his part in the midst of what has been another largely underwhelming individual season to date.

Sitting firmly behind Thibaut Courtois in the pecking order between the posts in Xabi Alonso’s squad, the Ukrainian has been restricted to just a pair of appearances between La Liga and the Champions League.

And keeping a close eye on these game-time struggles, it is understood, are those in a position of power at the aforementioned AC Milan.

The Rossoneri are currently facing up to the very real possibility of bidding farewell to no.1 Mike Maignan next summer, upon the expiration of his contract terms.

And according to Fichajes, should this prove to be the case:

‘The first name on the list is Lunin, a young goalkeeper with experience in big European matches and room for improvement.’
