Endrick has been one of the highlights of the year so far in French football. Joining Lyon on loan from Real Madrid, the Brazilian forward has hit the ground running.

In five competitive matches, Endrick has scored five goals and mustered one assist, including a hat-trick against FC Metz.

Endrick’s performances have not gone unnoticed, with a few Premier League clubs also interested in his services, while Lyon are keen on extending the loan.

But most importantly for the player, his performances have been noticed by the Brazilian national team.

Endrick back on Brazil’s books?

According to El Chiringuito, it appears Carlo Ancelotti is planning to call up Endrick to the Brazilian national team for the upcoming international break in March.

The report suggests the former Real Madrid manager has been left impressed with what he has seen of Endrick so far this year.

As such, he plans to call the youngster up for the upcoming matches against France and Croatia in March.

This promises to be a golden opportunity for Endrick to perform well and seal a place in the Brazil team for the FIFA World Cup in 2026.

After all, a key motive for Endrick’s January move to Lyon was to make sure he gets an opportunity to get regular game-time and make a case for the Brazilian national team.

The forward is desperate to play his first World Cup and if he can continue this rich vein of form, there is no reason why he won’t be a part of the Brazilian contingent for the World Cup 2026.

As for Real Madrid, they have acknowledged Endrick’s top form in Ligue 1 and are planning to include him in their project for next season.
