Jose Mourinho’s move to Real Madrid appears to be in its advanced stages, and the club and the manager are in direct contact and negotiations.

As reported yesterday, Los Blancos have already sent their verbal offer to the manager regarding the vacancy on their bench and proposed that he come over to take control of the first team.

The biggest hurdle, however, was seemingly the rift that developed between the Real Madrid dressing room and Mourinho after the on-field incidents in the game against Benfica.

After all, it did not go down well with several players in the dressing room that the manager supported Gianluca Prestianni publicly after Vinicius Jr. was racially abused by him.

Vinicius adopts a mature stance

As reported by El Chiringuito in a recent report, however, Vinicius himself is not opposed to the Portuguese manager returning and understands that he is the team’s hope of finding the light at the end of the tunnel.

The player thus believes there is nothing to clear up with Mourinho and that what happened in the past must stay there. He sees the current situation to demand focusing on work and minimising controversy.

In fact, Vinicius reportedly sees Mourinho’s arrival as a positive and a measure that will ensure Real Madrid play as a collective unit and not for individuals.

The Brazilian thus believes that the Benfica manager is indeed the candidate Los Blancos require.

Needless to say, the Brazilian’s openness to work with the same manager who did not support him months ago comes as a sign of maturity from the captain.

More importantly, it shows that the players understand the severity of the crisis they are in.
