According to L'Équipe, Real Madrid will attempt to sign Rodri this summer as they seek Toni Kroos's successor in midfield, and the Manchester City midfielder is willing to join.
José Mourinho's side appear determined to avoid another season without silverware. They have already strengthened with Cucurella, Dumfries, Konaté and Bernardo Silva.

Rodrigo Hernandez, known as Rodri, 30, was voted the best player at the World Cup.
He faced Brahim Diaz when Manchester City lost 0-3 to Real Madrid on 11 March.
Madrid's interest in the City midfielder predates this summer.
