La Liga giants Real Madrid are expected to have a sidelined member of the club’s attacking ranks back for their upcoming showdown with AC Milan.
That’s according to Diario AS, who point towards Rodrygo as the player in question.
Frontman Rodrygo, for his part, was forced to sit out this past weekend, as Real Madrid were put to the sword by four goals to nil at the hands of arch rivals Barcelona.
This came owing to a muscular injury suffered en route to Los Blancos’ comeback Champions League victory over Borussia Dortmund.
The Brazilian has spent the week since recovering at Valdebebas, with AS having confirmed that ‘his recovery rate is optimal’.
The hope, in turn, is that Rodrygo will be passed fit in time to play at least some part next Tuesday, when Carlo Ancelotti’s troops play host to Italian heavyweights AC Milan in the Champions League.
Antonio Rüdiger, also struggling for fitness present, is expected to be given the medical green light over the days ahead, too.
