According to a recent revelation from MARCA, Real Madrid recently turned down an offer from a Qatari club for Castilla right-back Lorenzo Aguado.
The young defender is currently one of the most sought-after players in Real Madrid’s reserve team, but his next move remains undecided as he looks for a project that matches both his career ambitions and financial expectations.
Aguado has been receiving multiple offers over the past few weeks. One of the latest proposals came from Qatar and included a sizeable transfer fee.
The Qatari club agreed to meet Real Madrid’s financial demands but only for 50% of the player’s rights. However, Madrid insisted on selling 100% of the player’s rights, which led to negotiations breaking down.

Despite the Qatari offer falling through, Aguado is in no hurry to decide his future. Last summer, he was close to joining Alaves, but former Castilla coach Raul convinced him to stay, leading to a contract extension until 2026.
During the 2024/25 season, Aguado got a taste of first-team football. He made his debut in the Copa del Rey against Deportivo Minera and was even registered for the Champions League knockout stages.
After this experience, the young full-back feels ready to move on from Castilla and is now focused on finding a new challenge.
Aguado’s main goal is to join a top-flight club where he can play regularly. However, he remains open to other options if the project is right.
Offers from the Spanish Second Division have already come in, with clubs like Albacete and Mirandés showing interest. For now, Aguado continues to assess his options, determined to make the right move for his development.
