Real Madrid are once again monitoring one of the most exciting young forwards in German football, with fresh reports highlighting the club’s growing interest in Christian Kofane

According to journalist Patrick Berger in Sky Germany, the Spanish giants are very keen on the 19-year-old striker, who is currently making a strong impression at Bayer Leverkusen.

Kofane’s rise has not gone unnoticed in Madrid, as the Cameroonian international only joined Leverkusen last summer, arriving from Albacete in a deal worth €5.25 million.

However, his development has been rapid, and Real Madrid are now once again considering a move, this time for the first team rather than Real Madrid Castilla.

Not a new interest

It is worth noting that this is not a new story.

Before his move to Germany, Real Madrid had already tried to sign Kofane for Castilla, but Bayer Leverkusen stepped in and completed the deal.

Despite missing out back then, Madrid have kept him on their radar and continue to view him as a long-term option for the attack.

For now, however, any immediate move is ruled out, as one key detail highlighted in the report is that Kofane will not be available during the winter transfer window.

Leverkusen have no intention of selling him mid-season, especially given the player’s growing importance to the squad.

Furthermore, if Real Madrid decide to push ahead with a serious offer, the price tag would exceed €50 million.

Impressing in Germany

On the pitch, the numbers support the hype, as the 19-year-old centre-forward has already made 23 competitive appearances for Bayer Leverkusen, scoring five goals and providing five assists.

Those contributions, combined with his physical profile and ability to link play, have strengthened his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising young strikers.

His current contract runs until 2029, meaning that turning Real Madrid’s admiration into action will require patience, and deep pockets.
