Continuing the recent trend, Real Madrid could be bidding goodbye to several veteran players in the summer of 2026. 2024 saw Nacho Fernandez and Joselu leave, and Toni Kroos retire, while Luka Modric and Lucas Vazquez moved on earlier this year.
As has been reported, David Alaba is expected to bring an end to his chapter at Real Madrid in the summer when his contract expires.
Club captain Dani Carvajal, too, could be on the move, with a potential reunion with Joselu at Al Gharafa in Qatar.
Now, according to Rodra on ESPN, there is a possibility that Antonio Rudiger also leaves Real Madrid in the summer when his contract runs out.

Rudiger’s deal expires on 30 June, 2026, and the club would be willing to offer him an extension to keep him at the Bernabeu.
The veteran German, for his part, is happy at Real Madrid, but at the same time, he is also is also attracted to other destinations.
As per the report, Rudiger sees himself playing in Saudi Arabia in the final years of his career. And given the fact that he has been hampered by injuries this season, he could decide to leave at the end of the season.
Nothing is decided for now, and as mentioned previously, Real Madrid would be open to offering him an extension for another year.
However, Rudiger’s future at the club beyond the ongoing season remains uncertain and a transfer to Saudi Arabia could very well be on the cards.
