Real Madrid are aiming to bring their three-game winless streak in La Liga to a conclusion on Sunday afternoon when they welcome struggling Girona to the Santiago Bernabeu.

A defeat and two draws in their last three outings means they have been leapfrogged by Clasico rivals Barcelona at the summit.

The Catalan outfit, who were surprise Champions League qualifiers last term, have slumped to 11th as a result and will be fearing the worst ahead of their journey to the capital.
