Raul Asencio has endured a drastic turnaround in his situation at Real Madrid in recent months.
The La Fabrica talent had established himself as a regular in the side under Carlo Ancelotti last season – a breakthrough year for him.
However, a few poor displays at the FIFA Club World Cup, coupled with the signing of Dean Huijsen and the return of Eder Militao and Antonio Rudiger from injury, has meant that Asencio has dropped well down the pecking order.
While the transfer window in most leagues is shut, it is still open in Turkey and according to Fichajes, Asencio is attracting strong interest from Besiktas.

As per the report, Besiktas have proposed a loan move, arguing that a season in the Turkish Super Lig would give Asencio regular minutes at a high level while helping him adapt to the demands of top-flight football.
From their perspective, the player would return to Madrid more experienced and match-ready.
The report further states that Real Madrid are studying the proposal carefully. While they recognise Asencio’s potential, they also see value in letting him play consistently elsewhere to aid his development.
The Merengues’ priority is to ensure that any move benefits the player without closing doors to his long-term future at the Santiago Bernabeu.
Talks between the clubs are ongoing, and no agreement has been reached yet. The coming weeks will be decisive in determining whether the move goes ahead or whether Real Madrid opt to keep Asencio for the rest of the campaign.
