The budding on-pitch relationship between Real Madrid pair Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé continued to bear fruit on Sunday.

This came during Los Blancos’ meeting with capital rivals Getafe.

Xabi Alonso’s troops marked their return to action a short time ago, kicking the club’s campaign back into gear in a La Liga meeting with Getafe.

When all was said and done, Real Madrid got the job done, securing all three points to retake their place atop the table.

And it was the aforementioned Arda and Mbappé who made the difference once more.

With the sides deadlocked late in the 2nd-half, substitute Arda slipped frontman Mbappé through on goal courtesy of a defence-splitting pass.

And the latter made no mistake in directing home a fine finish, in the process keeping alive a stellar stretch of individual form.

Real Madrid’s electric attacking partnership have now combined for six goals already in 2025/26.
