Real Sociedad fly to England without Jon Karrikaburu and Carlos Fernández | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are travelling to England with a 28-man group for two friendlies, but Jon Karrikaburu and Carlos Fernández have been left at home.

According to Diario Vasco, Kubo and Sucic, the latest to link up with the group, are in the travelling party, though their minutes remain uncertain. Real Sociedad face Wolverhampton on Saturday at 18:00 Gipuzkoa time, then Unai Emery's Aston Villa on Tuesday at 20:30.

The pair remain in Donostia, training while their departures await official confirmation.

Left-back Jon Balda has stayed at Zubieta to continue his build-up. He began partial group work this week and could be in position to complete a full session next week.

Gorrotxategi, Marín and Odriozola are also out as they recover from injuries, with the Eibar-born midfielder closest to rejoining full training.

Matarazzo has again turned to Sanse, summoning nine youngsters for the trip: Fraga, Beitia, Kita, Lebarbier, Aguirre, Carrera, Díaz, Marchal and Ochieng.
