The brass at Real Sociedad are eyeing a summer deal for a member of the attacking ranks at La Liga rivals Real Madrid.

The Blancos star in the sights of those in the boardroom at Anoeta? Gonzalo García.

Frontman Gonzalo has of course been hotly tipped for a departure from Real Madrid over the months ahead. After a season playing 2nd fiddle to Kylian Mbappé in Spain’s capital, Florentino Pérez and co. are understood to be open to offers for the 22-year-old.

A whole host of clubs have in turn been tipped to launch moves for a player with the potential to develop into a top goalscorer.

And as alluded to above, early this week, one of La Liga’s most recognisable clubs appear to have thrown their hat in the ring for Gonzalo.

As per a report from Spanish football insider Jorge C Picon:

‘Real Sociedad are on the hunt for a striker and have their eye on Gonzalo García. He is one of the profiles that most appeals to the Basque team.’
