Real Sociedad swap order of Aston Villa and Wolves friendlies | OneFootball

Real Sociedad have made a minor pre-season change, swapping the order of their Aston Villa and Wolves friendlies during an England camp from 25 to 28 July, according to Diario Vasco.

Their first summer game is scheduled for Saturday 18 July against Racing.

The dates in England stay the same, only the rivals switch. The squad will travel to Walsall, near Birmingham, on Friday 26, then face Wolves, relegated to the Championship, at the Bescott Stadium on Saturday 27 at 18:00 in Gipuzkoa. Sunday is set for recovery and Monday for training ahead of the second match.

Aston Villa await on Tuesday 28 at the Bescott Stadium, kick-off 20:30 in Gipuzkoa, after which La Real return to Zubieta to continue pre-season. Another friendly follows on Friday 31 against Toulouse in Tarbes.

The switch was made because Unai Emery’s side will head to Asia days later. Aston Villa are slated to play Indonesia All Stars at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium in Jakarta on Saturday one August, then BG Pathum United in Thailand on Tuesday four.

Real still await confirmation of the date for the Euskal Herriko Txapela final against Athletic. That derby would take the tally to five friendlies, while a sixth remains uncertain with La Liga starting the weekend of 15 August.
