Real Sociedad weigh 2027 contract calls with 2028 in view | OneFootball

Real Sociedad are shaping medium-term plans around several key contracts. Álex Remiro, Jon Karrikaburu, Aihen Muñoz and Carlos Fernández all have deals ending in 2027, and none of their futures looks fully settled.

According to AS, Carlos Fernández appears to be heading for a permanent transfer after scoring 16 goals on loan at Mirandés in Segunda, with Cádiz and Las Palmas interested.

Jon Karrikaburu could also depart again, either in a sale or on loan, with Sporting continuing to track the Navarrese striker closely.

The outlook for Aihen Muñoz and Álex Remiro seems more dependent on personal choices. Aihen has lost prominence this season as Sergio Gómez has taken the left back role, so he may consider a move for more minutes.

Remiro, from Cascante, has been linked with Barcelona and Aston Villa. For now, the club remain calm about both situations.

Looking ahead to 2028, the contracts of Mikel Oyarzabal and Gonçalo Guedes are due to expire, though Guedes has a clause to extend by one season.

Renewing the captain’s contract is the club’s most important and strategic matter. Brais Méndez and midfielder Goti also have deals running to 2028.
