Recoleta tickets sold out as Santos set for full house in Paraguay | OneFootball

Santos are set for a sizeable backing in Paraguay when they visit Recoleta on Tuesday, 21:30 Brasília time. The match will be played at the Monumental Río Parapiti in Pedro Juan Caballero, on the border with Brazil.

The Paraguayan club said on Thursday that all tickets for the Copa Sudamericana Group D fixture had been sold, and the ground, which holds around 25,000, is expected to be full.

On the pitch, the game carries weight for Santos in Group D. They have two points from three matches and trail leaders San Lorenzo on five. Recoleta sit third with three.

The sides drew 1-1 in their earlier meeting at Vila Belmiro, when the Paraguayans fielded a reserve team.

Competition rules heighten the stakes. Only group winners advance directly to the round of 16, while runners-up enter a play-off against teams from the Copa Libertadores for a place in the next phase.
