Reda Belahyane poised to return to Hellas Verona | OneFootball

Reda Belahyane is poised to rejoin Hellas Verona a year after leaving. According to The Laziali, the 21-year-old Lazio midfielder has said yes to the Gialloblu and talks with his former club are well advanced.

Belahyane moved to Lazio last February, reuniting with Marco Baroni. This season he has sat at the bottom of Maurizio Sarri’s midfield pecking order, making an exit increasingly likely.

He had been linked with another reunion with Baroni at Torino, while Cremonese also showed interest. Verona have pushed hardest and now look his most likely destination.

The clubs share a strong working relationship, so an agreement is not expected to prove difficult, with all sides open to the move.

In parallel, Lazio are hunting a midfielder. After Saturday’s stalemate in Lecce, Kenneth Taylor is not viewed as a direct replacement for Matteo Guendouzi, and Sarri is still expecting, or at least hoping for, a right-footed box-to-box option.
